About.

Proptech BNE. exists to support the development of the local/national proptech economy and position Brisbane and broader Southeast Queensland as an epicentre of innovation within the Australian property sector.

Proptech BNE. focuses on supporting all aspects of the property technology sector from Residential Real Estate to Construction and everything in between by being a centralised platform for promotional activities, facilitating industry connections and regular events along with highlighting the economic impact of the growing proptech economy through data and research.

Proptech BNE. aims to work with any and all parties looking to support this growing sector and does not exist to promote the individual agendas of government, corporates, or VC's rather it highlights all valid opportunities for the proptech community.

Founder

Isaac J. Coonan
Isaac founded Proptech BNE. in 2019 after working to support the emerging technology sector in Australia for the better part of a decade.

Isaac saw there was something missing from the current support ecosystem looking to grow the proptech economy, and that was an industry-led, outcome-driven community. After working for numerous growth programs, accelerators, incubators and venture capital firms, Isaac realised there was a need for industry-led support and guidance for emerging proptech businesses that was not being met by any initiative he had seen…. Hence, the birth of Proptech BNE.

Along with being the founder of Proptech BNE. Isaac holds a number of advisory and/or board positions for some of the counties leading proptech businesses, including BLOCX, Dopple, Space Platforms, and Gallantree.

Founding Team

Supporting Isaac in early 2019 with the initial launch of Proptech BNE. was fellow Brisbane proptech leaders, Paula Guino and Julian Brockhurts who both played a crucial role in the establishment of Proptech BNE. and the delivery of key initiatives.

In 2022, after two years of incredible service to the local and national proptech sector, Paula Guino stepped down from Proptech BNE. however remains and avid supporter of the organisation and a regular attendee of key events.

Looking into 2023, Julian Borckhurts will be joining Jess Caire as a third year council member and continuing to strategically support the organisation and our community.
